As an artist development initiative, 3300+ Climbing hopes to host more talent showcases in the future."
In early October, 3300+Climbing listened to dozens of music submissions from talented artists that attended Full Sail University. Our goal was to find talented musicians for our talent showcase that was to be held on October 23, 2015 at The Treehouse. Although our choices were difficult to make, we ultimately decided on ten artists to perform at the showcase. The winner with the most votes from audience attendance would be able to perform at the fifth annual Network Music Conference, a major event for the music industry community within and beyond Florida.
The following ten artists performed at the talent showcase:
Ricky Derose, Denny Soloist, Fabiola, Esquire the Great, Kessler the Villain, Eric David, Type Music, LeeAnn, Gud Tymez, and Kezzy Jones.
Fast forward to the Full Sail Social Scene on October 23rd and The Treehouse is packed with students and artists’ supporters. Although there were a few technical difficulties, the atmosphere was jam-packed with positivity and the talent was endless. The judges were exceptionally helpful for the talent, providing positive feedback and valuable constructive criticism for the talent to take into consideration for future performances. As for 3300+Climbing, it was definitely awesome to finally meet these student artists and match the music with the face in person.
One by one, each artist performed their set. By the end of the night, the crowd had spoken and Denny Soloist ultimately won the talent showcase, thereby earning the opportunity to perform at the Network Music Conference on November 21, 2015.
This upcoming Saturday, Denny Soloist will perform in front of hundreds of future music industry professionals as well as dozens of industry professionals at the Network Music Conference. Full Sail students are definitely encouraged to attend this Saturday as well as this event is the perfect way to network and learn from the best in the business. As an artist development initiative, 3300+Climbing hopes to host more talent showcases in the future. We are proud to support emerging fresh talent, especially talent that comes from Full Sail University.
