“As the year winds down, White Noise stands to be one of the most promising and impressive debut album of the year, but more than just deserving that title, it stands to be one of the best albums of the year.” - Ryan Gardner from Absolute Punk
Formed in 2012, the band PVRIS has proved to be a band worth listening to as well as a band worth seeing live. From Lowell, Massachusetts, the band is comprised of three key members: Lynn Gun (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and keyboard), Alex Babinski (lead guitar), and Brian MacDonald (bass guitar). In June of 2014, PVRIS made history becoming the first female-fronted band to be signed to the independent record label Rise Records. PVRIS is known for “blending dreamy electronica with dark, beat- heavy rock” into their music. Their first full-length album “White Noise”, was released in November of 2014 and reached #6 on the Billboard Alternative Charts and #10 on the Billboard Indie Charts. Their music is not that of the typically known female fronted bands such as Paramore, VersaEmerge, and We Are The In Crowd, but instead brings a new-age era type of vibe and sound. With all of the accomplishments this band has had in such a short time period, PVRIS will surely make a name for themselves.
