3300+ Climbing Blog
A few weeks ago, 3300+Climbing faculty, coordinators, and interns gathered around a conference table to listen to their top twenty talent submissions for artist development consideration. We had already spent a good amount of time selecting that top twenty list out of a healthy pile of over fifty submissions but naturally, the more talent we found out of that twenty, the more difficult it became to narrow our results down to ten, and then down to seven. After extensive studying, small chit chat, and interviews, the following seven bands, singers, and rappers are up for consideration to be 3300+Climbing’s third artist:
Life’s Poet (also known as Sherika Luckett) has always been interested in music but never really got serious about her craft until about a year ago. But it wasn’t too difficult for Life’s Poet to gain local success in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. Drawing on inspirations from Kendrick Lamar and Eminem, Life’s Poet’s lyrics immediately drew large crowds to her local performances. The deep words of poetry she raps carefully paired with relaxing beats can make anyone sit back and relax to her music. She may be very new to the game, but her natural talent is guaranteed to bring her success. – Claire Contevita
Nat’Lee is a young South Florida artist with a very particular and fashionable style. Her dedication and love for entertainment allows her to pursue her dreams within the music industry. Nat’Lee debuted on the Telemundo-produced talent show “Yo Soy El Artista.” She made it to the semi-finals! Her lastest EP release was in February 2016 and now she is getting ready for more music. – Maria Camacho
L.I.T (Loyalty is Timeless)
Loyalty is Timeless is an all male group that consist of 3 brothers with 1 dream from Alabama. They have recently moved to Atlanta to follow the music. It is said that their greatest influences are artist like Tupac, Eminem, Kanye West, Wale, and J. Cole. Although they can be considered as a rap group, they are very versatile and convey traits of diversity as they do not limit themselves to a specific genre. L.I.T considers themselves as “Multitalented artists with a story to tell the world”. Their greatest strengths are consistency and their passion to differentiate their music from other artists. They focus on emphasizing the true substance of rap music through the songs that they produce. – Crystal Lopez
