Sweet Crude is a Louisiana based band, and they are the essence of New Orleans. Sweet Crude has based the existence of their band around the mix of French and English culture that New Orleans is known for. They use both English and French in their songs as to keep the culture alive. Sweet Crude is made up of six members, Jack Craft, Sam Craft, Stephen MacDonald, Alexis Marceaux, Dave Shirley and Skyler Stroup. This multi-instrument band is a mixture of indie and pop.
Sweet Crude performed at 2017's SXSW where they played five times in three days, including on the Gibson Lounge at Maggie Mae’s, Rhyme & Reasons Records showcase. On April 18 through May 6, 2017, Sweet Crude will be on their Creatures tour, where they will be supported by Motel Radio. They will also be playing at the Solstice Festival from June 15 through June 17, 2017 in Austin, Texas. Another recent accomplishment for Sweet Crude is that they had their song “Laissez Les Lazy” premiered on Fuse. “Laissez Les Lazy” translates to “Let the Lazy” in English and is about the bassist entering marriage.
