On Tuesday, September 26th, the SCA at Full Sail University hosted their annual talent show, which allows Full Sail students to showcase their capabilities on the same stage that hosts the Vans Warped Tour and musical artists like Andy Grammer. The contestants competed in front of a panel of 4 judges and their peers at Full Sail Live for the chance to win a third, second or first place prize. And before the show, I was able to make my way into the green room to interview some of the contestants!
what: Singer/songwriter with a single in a global peace festival film (Dueling Dragons, 2017) and relatable, empowering lyrics.
WHAT: soulful, ariana grande-inspired singer
WHAT: hard-hitting, high-energy rapper who takes complete control of the stage
WHAT: "regal pop" singer and songwriter from Panama with a recurring theme of being on the journey towards our better selves - our kingdom - in many of his songs.
WHAT: artist who sings, raps and creates his own beats in-studio and live during his performances, with a past and future in filmmaking.
WHAT: bite-sized vocalist with an artist persona that's larger than life.
WHAT: Singer whose cute personality is a contrast to her powerful voice.
WHAT: Rapper with a passion for making music.
WHAT: The Smooth Singer behind D Thax Entertainment.
Special thanks to Daniel Louise for assisting in conducting the interviews and to the Full Sail SCA for granting me access to the green room and the contestants!
